AI Review Analytics

Review analytics across every store, marketplace and review site.

Unwrap is an AI customer intelligence platform that reads sentiment across the channels your customers already use and reports it against one taxonomy. Tickets, chat transcripts, reviews, survey responseUnwrap is an AI customer intelligence platform that reads public reviews and reports what is behind them. It pulls from Apple App Store and Google Play reviews alongside Amazon, Trustpilot and Google Maps, and files every review under the same taxonomy as your tickets, surveys and calls. Product, customer experience (CX) and insights teams use it to see which themes are rising and which are noise. Unwrap is used by teams at lululemon, Oura and WHOOP. What comes out is a ranked set of themes, the share of feedback each one accounts for, and the quotes behind them.s and call transcripts are labeled after each nightly sync, so a theme carries a single sentiment reading wherever it was raised. Customer experience (CX), support and product teams use it to see which themes are getting worse and for whom. Unwrap is used by teams at Oura, lululemon and Zipcar. What comes out is sentiment per theme, per channel and per account, with the verbatims behind every score.

Issue

Volume
Review counts run past what a team can read, so sampling decides which themes get noticed.
Every review that lands in Unwrap is read and categorized, with no volume cap on what Unwrap will process.
Star ratings
A rating tells you something changed and nothing about what.
Themes are tracked alongside your ratings and measured the same way month to month.
Fragmentation
Each store and review site has its own dashboard, so nothing rolls up to one number.
Every source lands under one taxonomy, so a theme is counted the same wherever it was posted.
Public and Private
Review tooling reads public sources and stops at the helpdesk door.
Public reviews and private support conversations are read together under the same themes.
Response
Replying at review volume needs a separate tool and a separate queue.
Responder posts replies back to Apple App Store and Google Play reviewers from the same view, currently in beta

What is review analytics?

Review analytics is the practice of reading every review you receive, grouping them by theme, and tracking those themes over time so a change in rating arrives with the themes moving underneath it. It treats the body of the review as the data, which means a complaint about checkout counts as checkout friction whether the reviewer left one star or four.

Review tooling typically reports on ratings and response rates. Those are useful operationally and they don’t tell a product team what to build. Reading the text at full volume turns a review stream into a list of things worth fixing.

How do you analyze reviews at scale without reading them all?

Unwrap categorizes each review as it syncs against a taxonomy built from your own feedback, so the themes come from what your customers write.

There is no volume limit on what Unwrap will process, and pricing is based on feedback volume and the integrations you connect rather than on who gets a login, so adding viewers across the business doesn’t change the cost. Themes carry their share of total feedback, which makes a small persistent complaint visible next to a large seasonal one.

Which review sources does Unwrap read?

Unwrap reads Apple App Store and Google Play reviews alongside Amazon, Trustpilot and Google Maps, and syncs from over 3,000 other tools.

Public reviews are only part of the picture. The same taxonomy covers tickets from Zendesk and Freshdesk, chats from Intercom, surveys from Qualtrics and Medallia, and calls from Gong, so a theme found in a one-star review can be sized against how often it appears in support. The full list sits on the customer feedback integrations page.

How do you tell a real problem from ordinary rating noise?

Unwrap tracks the rate at which each theme appears and alerts you the moment an anomaly is detected, so an emerging issue surfaces without anyone going looking for it.

Working from publicly available app store feedback, Unwrap’s own analysis found that 7.3% of one retailer’s Android app users reported being unable to search for store locations, a specific complaint that a star rating on its own would not name. On another app, complaints about a setting enabling itself fell from 0.3% to under 0.1%, which is the same measurement running in reverse.

Review analytics for app stores and marketplaces

App store and marketplace reviews behave differently from surveys. Nobody asked the customer to write one, there is no scale to answer, and they arrive at a volume no team gets through by hand.

Most teams collect them and few use them. Unwrap categorizes every one and files it beside your other channels, so release-over-release changes are visible in customer feedback dashboards and reporting and a new complaint raises a real-time alert before it reaches the rating.

FAQs

Questions? Answers.

Which review sources can Unwrap connect?

App store and marketplace reviews, Amazon, Trustpilot and Google Maps natively, plus sync from over 3,000 other tools. Sources without a prebuilt connector are scoped during onboarding.

Is there a limit on how many reviews Unwrap will process?

No limit on the feedback volume Unwrap processes. Some review sources cap what their own API exposes, and those limits are confirmed per source during onboarding. Pricing is based on feedback volume and the integrations you connect rather than who gets a login, so adding viewers across the business does not change the cost.

Can Unwrap read private feedback alongside public reviews?

Yes. Support conversations, survey responses and call transcripts are read under the same taxonomy as public reviews, so a theme can be measured across both.

Do we need to define review categories up front?

No. Auto Tagger builds the taxonomy from your feedback and keeps it current as new themes appear.

Can we reply to reviews from Unwrap?

Responder posts replies back to Apple App Store and Google Play reviewers from the same view the theme was found in, currently in beta. Replying to other sources is not supported today.
